The Lone Star Helix Rope is uniquely engineered, featuring a multi-directional, double-twisted core, to allow the center core to counterbalance the rope as a whole. This - combined with our evenly tensioned and precise core shell strands - allows our ropers an industry-first choice of weight and size in the same feel and constructed rope. The rope of choice for 5X NFR qualifier Dustin Egusquiza, The Helix head rope has a smooth body and a fast feel.

Different Setup? Just change the Helix!

My favorite thing about the Helix is that Lone Star has offered the different thicknesses along with the different lays. Need to run close and really snap it on the horns at a jackpot? Use the LT in a XS as for me it feels lighter and faster. At a rodeo and its an average score but have to be a little faster? Use the ST in a S lay. If its a longer score with bigger cattle bump the ST up to a MS and that loop will stay open.

    The Helix Review

This is the first rope I started using with Lone Star Ropes. It felt great out of the box, so much so, it afforded me a few wins early on. I'm using the standard diameter and have recently began using a soft lay, along with my XS lays. It stays true run after run. I'll be getting more.

    Outstanding Performance

On the road working so I spend a lot of time roping the dummy throwing a lot of head loops in the evenings of northern CA, in many adverse conditions a lot of the ropes from other brands I have found just wear out in a week or so , this helix line up wears like a rock compared to the rest, they just keep their form better , have a great feel along with smooth feeding speed and don’t fuzz out after a week like the rest, I have spent a fair amount of money and time in trying many top rated XS and S ropes this past year to find the Lone Star Helix LT S and LT XS is just made top notch. Hope to add another solid review after getting back from using them in Wickenburg for a couple months.
